Campus Infrastructure
From the Collegiate Gothic quads to new centers for discovery, UChicago is reimagining the spaces where future generations will learn, collaborate, and change the world.
Building the future of discovery
For generations, the University of Chicago’s historic quads have shaped the experience of inquiry, conversation, and discovery. Now, Chicago minds are reimagining these iconic spaces for a new century—preserving their architectural grandeur while transforming them into dynamic environments for collaboration, teaching, and breakthrough research.
In addition to renewing the historic quads for future generations, projects like Hyde Park Labs, the AbbVie Foundation Cancer Pavilion, and the future IonQ Center for Engineering and Science will create new spaces where ideas move more freely across disciplines and into the world.
